Left out overnight: foods A–Z

Forgot the chicken, rice or milk on the counter all night? See how the USDA 2-hour rule applies to 346 perishable foods, A–Z, and what to do now.

One rule covers every food on this list: perishables can stay at room temperature for 2 hours, or just 1 hour when it is above 90°F (32°C). A full night always runs past that limit. Open any food to see the reasons for it and how long it lasts after refrigeration.
